Give your favorite white tutu an upgrade with this easy DIY 5-Step Colorful Tie-Dye Tutu tutorial!
Materials
- Lucy White (or other light-colored) iloveplum Tutu
- Rubber Bands
- Hanger
- Spray bottle
- Tie-Dye kit
How to
Step 1: Using your spray bottle slightly dampen your tutu for colors to be better absorbed
Step 2: Begin to scrunch or twist your tutu and wrap rubber bands around it to hold it in place.
Step 3: Once it’s wrapped start spraying or dipping in dye as desired. Use as many colors as you wish. Make sure to flip over and repeat the same step for the back!
Step 4: Unwrap your colorful tie-dye tutu and hang to dry! If you want to add a little more color, you can always scrunch it up again and keep adding dye until you’re happy with the design.
Step 5: Once completely dry wash your tutu on a gentle, cold cycle and hang to dry!
Now you’re ready to fluff and dance it out in your new colorful tie-dye tutu!
