Make custom ornaments to give as gifts or hang on your Christmas Tree with these easy 4-step DIY Temporary Tattoo Ornaments!
What you’ll need:
- Temporary Tattoos (I used temporary tattoos from @alittleconfettishop but any will do!)
- Mod podge
- Plastic ornaments
- Ribbon / yarn
Step 1: Color your ornaments by squeezing a tiny bit of craft paint into a bulb & shake it with your finger over the top until the paint is completely dispersed around the bulb. Air dry upside down in a lined muffin tin for 3-4 days. You can also buy colored bulbs for this if you don’t want to make your own.
Step 2: Once the bulbs are dry apply the tattoo. Trim your tattoo to size, & peel the plastic layer off the front. Position on your ornament and wet the back with a sponge for about 30 seconds. Just like applying to your skin. Be sure to hold your tattoo as still as possible to not smudge the design. Peel the paper off from your DIY Temporary Tattoo Ornaments and let your tattoo dry on the surface. If any creases exist use your sponge to smooth them out. You can remove a tattoo if you don’t like how it turned out with rubbing alcohol.
Step 3: Apply a thin layer of mod podge and let dry!
Step 4: Tie ribbon/ yarn on top!
Hang your DIY Temporary Tattoo Ornaments on your Christmas Tree!
