Let your babe break some hearts Mini DIY Conversation Heart Piñatas!
What you’ll need:
- Paper box hearts (mine were a $3 Target find, but other craft stores (and Amazon) have them too!)
- String
- Crepe paper
- Letter stickers
- Candy
- Glue or double-sided tape
- Power drill
- Scissors
How to:
Step 1: Drill hole in top of heart just below where the lid sits.

Step 2: Loop string through and tie in double knot.

Step 3: Fill the heart with candy, confetti, or leave plain to use your piñata as decor. Place lid back on heart – no need to secure it on as the fringe will hold it together
Step 4: Cut strips of crepe paper about the width of the heart. Then cut the strips in half horizontally and use scissors to cut fringe. I went about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way up to crepe paper to create the fringe. One tip is to stack the strips together and fringe them all at once to save time!

Step 5: Glue (or tape) the fringe starting at the bottom of the DIY Conversation Heart Piñatas and continue to work your way up until the whole front side is covered. Trim any excess fringe on the sides to help keep the heart shape.

Step 6: Next fringe the side of the heart starting at the bottom using the same method. Continue to create layers of fringe until you reach the top center of the heart. Then start again on the other side and work your way back up to the top center.

Step 7: Think of your favorite conversation heart sayings and place your stickers in the front of your Mini DIY Conversation Heart Piñatas!

Blindfold your babe and let her get break open these DIY Conversation Heart Piñatas, or hang them in your babe’s playroom as adorable Valentine’s Day decor!
