Twirl around in your tutu with these Simple DIY Yarn Valentine’s Day Wands!
What you’ll need:
- Foam heart picks (we got a pack of 4 for $1 at dollar general)
- Wooden dowels (got ours from Joanns but you can find them at lots of craft stores)
- yarn-pearls & sequins for embellishments

How to:
Step 1: Start by disassembling the heart pick. Remove the pick and bow (the wooden stick should slide out pretty easily).

Step 2: Next, insert the wooden dowel into the foam heart to use as the wand holder.

Step 3: Now you are ready to wrap your foam heart with yarn. Start by adding some hot glue at the base and secure the yarn to the bottom. Then wrap around the foam heart adding glue every few wraps. You will need to add glue more frequently towards the top of the heart shape to make sure it holds that shape. I went back and added a double layer of yarn in several spaces that needed it.

Step 4: Now you can add your embellishments to your Valentine’s Day Wands with hot glue. I outlined the heart shape with the pearls and added sequins as well. Be sure to wait about 10 seconds after putting on the hot glue BEFORE you put down your sequins (this helps the sequins to hold their shape and not melt but they will still stick).
Step 5: The final step is tieing some of your favorite yarn around the Valentine’s Day Wands! Enjoy!
Put on your babe’s favorite tutu and let her twirl around with her Valentine’s Day Wands like a Valentine’s Day princess!
