Fun Glitter DIY Name Magnetics

A fun way to get your littles excited about “Back-To-School” season by making name magnetics to help display on the fridge all that amazing effort and art they’ll create this year!

What You’ll Need:

  • Wooden Letters
  • Magnetic sheets
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Acrylic Paints
  • Pencil
  • Piece of paper
  • Sealer

How to:

Step 1: Paint letters in your desired colors for your name magnetics. Then let dry.

Step 2: Cover up the letter except for the bottom portion where you want it to sparkle.

Step 2

Step 3: Paint clear glue on the bottom portion of your letters where it’s not covered with a paint brush.

Step 3

Step 4: Next, sprinkle glitter on top of the glue. Spray sealer over your glitter. Then let dry.

Step 5: Using a pencell, trace your letter on top of the magnetic sheet (sticker side).

Step 5

Step 6: Next, cut out letter shape out from magnetic by cutting “inside” the line where you drew. This is so your magnetic won’t show once it’s place on back of the letter.

Step 6

Step 7: Peel off the backing of the magnet + then stick it on the back of the letter.

Step 7

Use your DIY letter name magnetics to hang that favorite piece of art or best work from the week on your fridge!

About the Creator!

Hi! I’m Steph! DIY creator + maker with a background in art + master’s degree in education. Creating has always been a passion + skill I’ve loved to exercise since I was five as a way to learn in and out of school with Dyslexia. (A learning disability) So art has always been my bright spot!

After an entire year of creating unique and slightly magical paper plate crafts with my then 4-year-old daughter back in the spring of 2020, the amazing Instagram community inspired me to start my small business, “Mini Maker Design Co” on Etsy where I design, make, + list craft kits for mini makers all over the U.S.! I’d love to “meet” you over on Instagram, Etsy, Pinterest or Tiktok! We like to do it all over here.

 Warmly, Steph
