This Back to School Time Capsule Craft is a fun way to memorialize this school year with your little!
What You’ll Need:
- Paper Mache Cylinder (Use THIS ONE)
- Yellow Card Stock Paper
- Rose Gold or Pink Glitter Paper
- Gold Beige Glitter Paper
- Black Card Stock
- Scissor
- Glue or Tape
- “Time Capsule” Printable (Free HERE | Or use markers to write it on yourself)
- “Time Capsule Questionaire” Printable (Free HERE | Or make your own!)

How To:
Step 1: Remove string and lid of the paper mache cylinder box.
Step 2: Use yellow cardstock to wrap around the cylinder and secure in place with glue or tape.
Step 3: Cut a long strip of rose gold or pink glitter paper and wrap around the bottom of your cylinder to make the eraser. Secure in place with hot glue or tape.

Step 4: Use the free printable or a marker to add “Time Capsule” to your cylinder.
Step 5: Use your gold glitter paper to make a cone shape that will be the tip of the pencil. Cut a three inch strip from any extra card stock you have and secure it into a cylinder shape that fits inside your cone to create a new lid for your pencil time capsule. Secure the cone and car stock cylinder together with glue or tape. The whole piece assembled should fit onto the open end of your paper mache cylinder.

Step 6: Using your black card stock, cut out a small piece and create a cone over the tip of your lid (gold cone), making the top of the pencil. Glue or tape in place.

Step 7: Now that you have the finished Pencil Time Capsule, you can fill out your “Time Capsule Questionaire” and roll it to fit inside your time capsule.

Burry or hide your time capsule craft to open at the end of the school year! See how much you have changed and enjoy seeing how your answers may be different now!
