Start off the Halloween season right by creating this Fun DIY Witch Tassel Garland!
What You’ll Need:
- Yarn (various colors and textures look best!)
- Foam1/2″ wood beads1/4″ white beads
- Sharpes – black + pink
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Knitting needle
- Small book/object (used to create tassel)
How To:
Step 1: Wrap yarn around book/object approximately 30-50 times. (I found Chick-fil-a books to be the perfect size for this) You can use various yarns to create layers of texture and color patterns. The more times you wrap the yarn, the thicker the tassel will be. This will be the dress of the witch.

Step 2: Slide yarn off the book and tie a piece of yarn (approximately 8″) around the loop securely. Cut the bottom of your loop and trim ends of yarn to even them out.

Step 3: Thread yarn through needle and slide the beads on – white first (neck of witch) followed by the wood bead. (head of witch)
Step 4: Use Sharpie to add face

Step 5: Cut approximately 10 pieces of yarn about 5″ long. Glue on wood bead to create witch’s hair.

Step 6: Cut 2″ foam circle out and thread through needle so it sits on top of witch’s head. This will be the base of her hat.

Step 7: Use foam to cut and glue cone shape and attach to the base of the hat.

Step 8: Repeat as many times as needed. After completing all witches, use strings on each to attach to create your DIY Witch Tassel Garland.

Now hang up your DIY Witch Tassel Garland to enjoy all Halloween season long!
