This Fun Halloween Witch Finger Snack is sure to be a hit at your next Halloween party!
What You’ll Need:
- 1 tube Gel food coloring, black
- 28 Almonds
- 14 Pretzel rods, large
- 12 oz Bright-green candy coating
Step 1: Use a paintbrush to paint the top of each almond with black gel food coloring. Set aside to dry while you prepare the rest of the recipe.
Step 2: Grab the pretzels and break each rod in half.
Step 3: Put the green candy coating in a deep microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 30-second increments, stirring after every 30 seconds to prevent burning. Stir and heat until the candy coating is completely melted and smooth.
Step 4: Holding a pretzel rod by the unbroken end, dip it in the green coating until about a 1/2-inch section is undipped at the top where you are holding it.
Step 5: Place the dipped pretzel on the lined baking sheet you used to dry the black candy-coated almond nails and immediately press one of them on the tip of the pretzel rod that is coated in green candy coating.
Step 6: Continue to dip more pretzels and, while you do, keep an eye on the already-dipped pretzels. When the coating has started to dry and is mostly matte but not completely hard, it’s time to add the wrinkles for the knuckles.
Step 7: Take a toothpick and hold it perpendicular to the pretzels. Gently roll it across the top to add wrinkles. Make two sets—one set near the fingernail, and one set about halfway down the finger. This will make your witch finger super realistic-looking.
Step 8: After all the pretzels have been dipped and decorated, refrigerate the tray for 10 minutes to set the coating completely.
Now place your Fun Halloween Witch Finger Snack on a festive tray or standing up in a jar to serve to your guests!

About the Creator!
Hi, I’m Shannon (Mama to the Johnson girls)! I live in Bettendorf, Iowa. I’ve recently transitioned from a working woman in the corporate world to a full-time mama to my three little girlies, Kennedy (5), Cameron (3), & Emerson (1). My passions are Jesus, my girls, their matching wardrobes, and being anywhere with sand, sun, & water.
You can find me chasing my wild warriors all day long from our playhouse tea parties to backyard yoga sessions all while eating way too much sugar, being way too loud, and praying my girls always view the world with rose-colored glasses (with sparkling glitter frames, of course)!
